Michael Walker - NanoJapan 2013

2014-2016 Erasmus Mundus Masters in Nanoscience and Nanotechonlogy – (first year) KU Leuven, Belgium / (second year) Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble France.
B.S., Physics, University of Florida, 2014

"NanoJapan - The kick start for a career in international science. I’ve been through several application procedures and research experiences over the last three years, and it’s easy to say NanoJapan was the best from an administrative point of view, was the most welcoming, and remains enthusiastic about their alumni - while also being driven by novel academic research opportunities." ~ Michael Walker, June 2015

Further International Research Experience

  • 2014 - 2016: Consortium scholarship for the Erasmus Mundus Master program
  • Summer 2015: Production of 3D graphene scaffolds to be used with motor neurons for modelling ALS
    Ege University, Izmir Turkey
  • Spring 2015: Automated Segmentation of Neurons Based on Principal and Independent Component Analysis. Done at imec (Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre) Leuven, Belgium.
