Rena Chen - Reverse NanoJapan 2011

PhD, Chemistry, Rice University, In Progress
B.S., Columbia University, 2014

"I still keep in contact with the students I met in NanoJapan who have gone on to medical school, law school, graduate school, and industry. In fact, we have been organizing reunions at least once every two years and often times smaller reunions occur. There are so many joyful memories to look back on and many more being created as we go through life together!" ~ Rena Chen, May 2015

Leela Christian-Tabak - Reverse NanoJapan 2011

Current Position: Associate Engineer, Aspen Technology (Buffalo, NY)
B.S., Chemical Engineering, University at Buffalo, SUNY, 2013

Further International Experience:
"In 2012 I spent a semester at the University of Wuerzburg taking regular science classes in German. After finishing my coursework in May 2013, I did a six month internship at a German chemical company called Evonik at their Darmstadt, Germany location. The project had to do with modelling and simulation. The technical vocabulary I learned in Wuerzburg really helped me. This internship was part of the DAAD Rise Pro Program, which I remember NanoJapan first told me about. Thank you for the suggestion!"
