June 2, 2013 Students Travel to Research Host Institutions
June 3 - July 3, 2013 Research Internship Part I
July 4 - 7, 2013 Mid-Program Meeting (location TBD)
July 8 - 26, 2013 Research Internship Part II
July 27 - 28, 2013 Last Weekend in Japan - Free Sight-seein or Stay at Research Host Lab.
It has become a tradition for NanoJapan students to hike Mt. Fuji as a group the last weekend in Japan. This is a 100% student organized and funded
option. All students must arrive in Tokyo by Sunday night and stay at the Sanuki Club hotel. Students must use their NanoJapan stipend to pay for all lodging costs for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights.
July 29, 2013NanoJapan Symposium in Tokyo
2013 will be the inaugural year of this symposium. NanoJapan students will present their topical research posters and attend seminar talks given by leading Japanese nanoscience researchers. Japanese students, professors, and funding agencies will be invited to attend. The symposium will be organized by Prof. Masayoshi Tonouchi of Osaka University.
